The **Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) Certification Course** is required by **OSHA** to protect you from unseen dangers in the workplace. This course gives you the knowledge and the tools to handle blood and other infectious materials safely. We cut out the confusing grown-up language to make sure you understand every step needed to protect yourself and others.
What You Will Master (Course Objectives):
1. Identify the Danger Zone (BBPs & OPIM)
You will be able to name the three main bloodborne pathogens (HIV, HBV, HCV) and identify all the body fluids (OPIM) that must be treated as dangerous.
2. Build the Safety Barrier (Controls & PPE)
You will learn to use **Engineering Controls** (safety gadgets like sharps containers) and correctly choose and put on/take off your **PPE** (Personal Protective Equipment) every time.
3. Know the Game Plan (ECP & Emergency Response)
You will understand the company’s **Exposure Control Plan (ECP)**, know the steps for clean-up (housekeeping), and follow the exact procedure for reporting and getting medical help after an exposure incident.
